Overview
Davis Dykes is a law clerk in the firm’s Real Estate Department. His practice focuses on assisting clients in the hospitality, real estate, sports, and entertainment industries with complex transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, development and finance, commercial leasing, and construction law matters.
During law school, Davis served as a judicial intern to The Honorable L. Scott Coogler of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and was a summer law clerk with Lowndes. Before pursuing law, he managed performances and events for Vocal Arts at The Juilliard School in New York City.
Davis earned his juris doctorate from The University of Alabama School of Law, where he was senior editor of the Law & Psychology Review, president of the Outlaw LGBTQ+ Alliance, and vice president of the International Law Students Association. He also served as student coach of the Carol Andrews ABA National Moot Court Team.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in music from the University of South Carolina, Davis spent a year in Düsseldorf, Germany, as a young ambassador and fellow with the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals, a program jointly sponsored by the German Bundestag and the U.S. Congress. During his time there, he worked at Deutsche Oper am Rhein and Düsseldorf Tonhalle, where he assisted with managing artists, performances, and venue operations.
In his free time, Davis is a dedicated musician who enjoys traveling and exploring languages and the arts.
