SB 1080: Streamlining Local Government Approvals and Curtailing Rising Impact Fees
Senate Bill 1080 (SB 1080) amends certain statutes regulating the review and approval of development permits and other applications by local governments.
In particular, SB 1080:
- establishes review periods for local government review of development permits
- requires local governments to specify minimum information necessary for certain applications
- provides additional limitations on extraordinary increases to impact fees
Except as otherwise expressly provided, the law will become effective on October 1, 2025, should the governor sign it before July 1, 2025, or take no action.
