Lowndes is pleased to announce that Jason Williams has joined the firm as a Shareholder in our Commercial Real Estate Department. He will be based out of the firm’s Orlando office.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jason to the Commercial Real Estate Department,” said John Ruffier, Chair of the Real Estate Department. “He brings exceptional expertise in real estate law and a strong track record of guiding commercial developers through complex transactions from acquisitions and sales to leasing, financing, and development. We’re confident his experience will enhance the great value we bring to clients.”

Williams is recognized for his practical approach to structuring commercial leases that align with clients' business objectives. He provides strategic legal counsel to landlords, tenants, developers, and lenders, helping them protect their interests while achieving their business goals.

His diverse experience includes advising commercial developers on efficient transaction strategies and working with banks on commercial, construction, and development loans. Williams has also handled unique projects including timeshare developments, condominium communities, and private membership clubs for marinas, golf courses, and beach resorts.

"Over the past 24 years practicing in Orlando, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many talented attorneys at Lowndes," said Williams. "What consistently stood out to me was the firm’s exceptional real estate practice, the genuine collegiality among its members, and a deep-rooted commitment to community involvement. These qualities made the decision to join Lowndes an easy one, and I couldn’t be more excited to officially become part of the team."

Prior to joining Lowndes, Williams was a partner at an Am Law 200 firm in Orlando, where he managed high-stakes real estate transactions. His career also includes valuable experience as in-house counsel for Marriott Vacation Club International, where he developed specialized knowledge in regulatory compliance and timeshare project structuring.

Williams graduated with highest honors from Florida State University College of Law, ranking second in his class. During his academic career, he served as a member of both the Florida State University Law Review and the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy.
