Lowndes represented Kimaya, LLC, a commercial real estate firm based in Central Florida, in the development of a 64-home, build-to-rent community located in the ChampionsGate area of Polk County, Fla., near The Walt Disney World Resort. Opened on July 13, 2023, the community was awarded first place in the Build-to-Rent category of the 2023 Parade of Homes Orlando awards.

The luxury community, known as Champions Chase, includes five different floorplans of three- and four-bedroom townhomes that feature private backyards, smart home technology, and garages with EV charging.

Kimaya was formed in 2015 as a commercial subsidiary of Orlando-based real estate development company Park Square Enterprises, LLC, which does business under the name Park Square Homes. Kimaya’s diverse development portfolio includes multifamily, Build to Rent, senior residences, hotel, retail, and beyond. Park Square Homes, one of Central Florida’s premier developers, has been family-owned and operated for more than 35 years.

The Lowndes team, which included real estate attorneys Gary Kaleita and Matthew McMurtrey, advised Kimaya on the land acquisition, project financing and development matters.
