Overview

William Kim advises private equity funds, private and public companies, and entrepreneurs on the purchase and sale sides of mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial transactions, equity and debt arrangements, corporate governance, and company formations. He has advised clients from a diverse range of industries, including technology, healthcare, telecommunications, industrial services, franchising, restaurants and retail, consumer products, education and hospitality.

As a business focused attorney, William offers his clients sound legal advice and strategic guidance, helping them to achieve their business objectives. He has extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex corporate, transactional and commercial agreements, managing legal and corporate governance concerns, and advising clients throughout their business cycle.

Prior to joining the firm, William served as General Counsel for a large multinational managed technology solutions corporation and built the legal department and compliance regime for the company. William possesses a deep understanding of the concerns and challenges of technology businesses and corporate clients and in his role as General Counsel, he regularly advised C-level and divisional executives on all aspects of business operations, acquisition and growth strategy, litigation, environmental and social concerns, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.

Licensed to practice in Florida and New York, William brings with him knowledge and experience in a vast array of areas, including cybersecurity, technology services, cloud services and SaaS, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, labor and employment, trademark, copyright, commercial property, regulatory compliance, healthcare, telecommunications, and licensing. 

In addition to his legal career, William is an active member of several civic and community organizations. He has served as a former member of the Board of Directors for the Korean American League for Civic Action (KALCA) and the former Action Council Co-Chair of the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF). William is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association, The Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York. He was also recognized in the 2021 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for corporate law.
