Five Lowndes Attorneys Promoted to Senior Associate

William T. Dymond, Jr., Lowndes President and CEO, today announced the promotion of five attorneys to the position of senior associate, effective immediately. They are: 

Nicole Cuccaro is an attorney in the firm's Real Estate Department. She concentrates her practice on real estate transactions, real estate development and commercial leasing. She assists a wide range of clients with the acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of commercial real estate in the retail and hospitality industries.

Alyson Hoffman is an attorney in the firm's Corporate, Business and Tax Department, working out of the firm's Orlando and Melbourne offices. She primarily focuses her practice on sophisticated estate planning and complex estate and trust administration.

McGregor Love is an attorney in the firm's Real Estate Department. He works with local governments and other regulatory authorities to address the needs of clients related to environmental permitting and compliance, zoning, comprehensive plans, concurrency, site plan approval, variance and waiver requests, due diligence, and property rights.

Logan Opsahl is an attorney in the firm’s Real Estate Department. He focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, land use, eminent domain and local government issues. He represents developers, homebuilders, landlords, tenants and franchisees in a wide range of matters involving the acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of commercial real estate.

Michael Piccolo is an attorney in the firm's Commercial Litigation Department. He focuses his legal practice on complex litigation, civil litigation, commercial litigation, business litigation, intellectual property litigation, significant divorce cases, and probate and trust litigation.


Nicole

Nicole Cuccaro concentrates her practice on real estate transactions, real estate development and commercial leasing. She assists a wide range of clients with the acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of commercial real estate in the retail and hospitality industries.

Before she focusing her practice in the area of real estate law, Nicole handled a variety of commercial and corporate litigation matters and regularly represented lenders and business entities.

Alyson

Alyson C. Hoffman is an attorney in the Corporate, Business and Tax Department, working out of the firm's Orlando and Melbourne offices. She primarily focuses her practice on sophisticated estate planning and complex estate and trust administration.

Committed to knowing her clients personally and understanding their goals, Alyson provides valued support and guidance to ensure their needs are met and help them achieve peace of mind. She enjoys building and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing clients based on trust and personal service. 

Prior to joining Lowndes, Alyson worked at a law firm in Bethesda, Maryland, where she handled a variety of complex matters related to probate and trust administration, elder law and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals. She also has experience representing restaurants and alcohol distributors in administrative hearings, beverage licensing and lobbying for various wholesalers.

Alyson earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Florida – Hume Honors College and her law degree, with a Certificate in Intellectual Property, from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. While in law school, she was recognized with Book Awards in both Advanced Trial Practice and Agency & Partnership. Alyson is also a Level 2 Sommelier under the United States Sommelier Association.

A Melbourne native, Alyson is active within the local community where she serves as a member of both the Brevard Zoo's Planned Giving Committee and the Melbourne Central Catholic High School's Advisory Council. She also volunteers with Brevard Family Partnership and Friends of Children of Brevard County and as a member of 321 Millennials, an organization that is focused on building the community and economy within Florida's Space Coast. In her free time, Alyson enjoys yoga, dancing, cooking, boating and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities that Florida has to offer.

McGregor

McGregor Love assists clients with entitling projects for commercial, residential, industrial, office, and mixed use.


McGregor works with local governments and other regulatory authorities to address the needs of clients related to environmental permitting and compliance, zoning, comprehensive plans, concurrency, site plan approval, variance and waiver requests, due diligence, and property rights. As a member of the firm’s Renewable Energy Group, McGregor assists clients with permitting and development in the growing renewable energy industry. 

With a background in land use and business litigation, McGregor previously worked for other law firms where he focused on the representation of Florida businesses and business investors.

Logan

Logan Opsahl is an attorney in the firm’s Real Estate Department who focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, land use, eminent domain and local government issues. He represents developers, homebuilders, landlords, tenants and franchisees in a wide range of matters involving the acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of commercial real estate.

A third-generation Floridian, Logan is passionate about real estate development initiatives within the state, and he enjoys assisting clients navigate all aspects of real estate transactions, ranging from simple, straightforward deals to highly complex ones. He routinely handles the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, as well as retail and office leases. He also has extensive experience counseling clients on development agreements, site plan requirements and other development matters.

A significant portion of Logan’s practice focuses on the representation of both property and business owners against condemning authorities regarding the taking of property for projects related to road widenings, highway construction, natural gas pipelines and powerlines. He has successfully represented the interests of both landlords and tenants in a variety of eminent domain matters, including the taking of commercial properties, residential properties, agricultural properties, gas stations, HOA properties and vacant land.

Prior to joining Lowndes, Logan gained broad experience in municipal law and land use matters while serving as assistant city attorney and police local advisor to the City of Ocoee, where he reviewed development applications and provided legal counsel to city staff.

Logan earned his law degree, as well as a certificate in environmental and land use law, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While attending law school, he was a member of Florida Blue Key and served as vice president of the Florida Moot Court Team and vice president of community service of the John Marshall Bar Association. He also served as a clerk for Justice Ricky Polston of the Supreme Court of Florida and worked in the General Counsel’s Office to Florida’s Chief Financial Officer. He holds an undergraduate degree in both economics and political science from Florida State University.

In his free time, Logan enjoys fishing, boating, surfing, hiking and just spending time in the great outdoors of Florida.
