James S. Toscano

Jim Toscano is a trial attorney with extensive experience in a broad range of commercial and high profile litigation matters. He has tried cases as lead counsel in federal and state courts throughout Florida. In recent years, Jim’s cases have included complex commercial business, real property and banking litigation, cases involving professional athletes and sports teams, class actions, intellectual property litigation, and personal injury and wrongful death cases. Jim is also a certified Circuit Court mediator, and has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution, including representing clients in numerous arbitrations as well as hundreds of mediations.

Jim is as committed to community service as he is to his clients. He served an eight-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Second Harvest Food Bank, and often provides pro bono legal assistance to Second Harvest. Jim also serves in a leadership role at the firm, raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Habitat for Humanity, among other community and civic organizations. Jim has also served as a pro bono Guardian Ad Litem for children in difficult family circumstances who need legal representation.

A huge sports fan, Jim has enjoyed his work with the Florida Citrus Sports Association, including serving on the Associate Board of Directors. Florida Citrus Sports is a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to stimulating economic development and ultimately benefiting charities, educational institutions and the quality of life in Central Florida through its signature events.

Jim also volunteers as a middle school basketball coach at St. James Cathedral School and as an Alumni interviewer for both Princeton and Duke.
