Overview

Kim Novak is chief talent officer for Lowndes, where she is responsible for leading all aspects of the firm’s talent and human resources initiatives for both attorneys and staff professionals, including recruitment, acquisition, retention and talent development, as well as employee relations and benefits.

A recognized human resources executive in the legal industry, Kim brings more than 20 years’ experience in human resources, administration and firm management. She came to Lowndes from Dean Mead, where she most recently served as executive director and led that firm’s administrative operations with a focus on driving profitability and cultivating a strong culture. Previously, she held other human resource managerial positions at Akerman LLP and Lathrop Gage (now Lathrop GPM).

Kim is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management, the International Association of Legal Administrators, and the International Legal Technology Association. She holds a master’s degree in human resources management from Ottawa University and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Washburn University.
