Developer of Future Topgolf Site Works to Minimize Eminent Domain Down Road

The Florida Department of Transportation and the developer of a new Topgolf location have avoided an eminent domain claim by coming to an agreement on the design of the new I-4 ramp at Lake Mary Boulevard.

Miranda Fitzgerald, who represents the land owner TPA, said that approval goes to the city commission next month, after plans for the 27,000+ sq ft building cleared Lake Mary's planning and zoning board. Fitzgerald also said that the collaboration of all parties involved drew compliments, with the position of buildings and structures leaving room for the highway infrastructure.

"That was one of the things the planning and zoning chairman was extremely complimentary on," Fitzgerald said. "I think the city feels that way, that it's such a win-win, because of the cooperation and collaboration..."
