An Update to Clients from the CEO: The CARES Act

Greetings to our clients, friends and community partners:

I hope and trust that you, your families and colleagues are and continue to be healthy and safe.

As you know, Congress’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act is the largest economic relief bill in U.S. history – and has raised many questions. This continues to be the case as federal agencies issue and refine rules and guidance related to the CARES Act. From the Paycheck Protection Program to deferring payroll taxes, our multi-disciplinary COVID-19 Response Team continues to monitor, analyze and offer guidance on the nuances of the Act. These updates and information about the many other federal, state and local directives and mandates can be found on our continually updated coronavirus resource page.

Additionally, please allow me to take a moment to wish those of you who are celebrating Passover or Easter this week and beginning Ramadan later this month a safe and healthy holiday. Whether you celebrate these holidays or not, we are all experiencing the emotional void caused by the absence of face-to-face interaction with family and friends. I look forward to the day when we can all begin meeting in person once again.

Until then, be safe and stay healthy!

William T. Dymond, Jr.
