ORLANDO, FL – Lowndes Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A., the largest law firm in Central Florida according to the Orlando Business Journal, is pleased to announce that it has promoted six attorneys –– Matthew D. Armstrong, Courtney M. Dunn, Ronald D. Edwards, Jr., Richard E. Englebright, Jr., Michael S. Provenzale and Jill Davis Simon to the level of senior associates, effective immediately. Matt, Courtney, Ronny, Richard, Mike and Jill previously served as associates at the firm.
At the firm, Matt focuses his legal practice on corporate and securities law. Primarily, he concentrates on public and private securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, roll-ups, and private investments. Matt also has several years’ experience with commercial real estate transactions, commercial leasing, and real estate litigation. Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a law degree from Emory University School of Law.
Courtney works in the firm's Intellectual Property practice and focuses her legal practice on general intellectual property matters, including intellectual property protection, licensing, litigation, auditing, and due diligence. She also handles patent prosecution for clients in engineering sciences, including computer (software and hardware), electrical and mechanical engineering. Courtney holds an undergraduate degree in computer engineering from the University of Florida and a law degree from Stetson University College of Law.
Ronny focuses his legal practice on litigation. In this role, Ronny practices throughout the State of Florida, both at the trial and appellate levels. He focuses primarily on complex business, banking, contract, and real property litigation. Ronny regularly represents national and state banks, title insurance companies, developers, commercial landlords, business owners, franchisors, and franchisees. Ronny holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida and a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Rick concentrates his legal practice on commercial foreclosures, commercial loan workouts, real estate, land use and property rights litigation, and general commercial litigation. In this role, Rick regularly represents national banks, private investment groups, commercial property owners, title companies, and other businesses. Rick holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a law degree from the Florida State University College of Law.
Mike focuses his legal practice in the areas of creditor’s rights and real estate transactions, development and finance. In this role, Mike concentrates on commercial loan foreclosures, workouts and restructuring as well as commercial leasing, financing, acquisition, and disposition of commercial real estate. He represents a myriad of clients, including lenders, investors acquiring distressed residential developments and condominiums, and commercial landlords. In addition, Mike has published several articles on current real estate issues. Mike holds his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from the Florida State University College of Law.
Jill divides her time among the Commercial Litigation practice, the Labor and Employment practice, and the Estate and Probate Litigation practice. As a commercial litigator, her practice focuses on the areas of business litigation, real estate litigation, and appellate law. She also devotes a portion of her practice to litigation regarding wills, trusts and estates. Jill’s experience in employment law includes matters involving Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, whistleblower laws, and various other employment laws. She also handles cases involving disputes over employment contracts and non-compete agreements. She represents both private and public sector employers before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Florida Commission on Human Relations, and the Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division. Jill has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida and a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
