Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed Welcomes James O'Brien to its Melbourne Office

Orlando, FL – Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A., is pleased to welcome attorney James M. O'Brien to the firm as of counsel effective May 2, 2016. O'Brien, who will be located in the firm’s Melbourne office, will serve as a corporate and business transaction attorney.

O’Brien represents clients in technology, aviation, health care, real estate development and construction, restaurant services, food distribution, entrepreneurial enterprise, as well as professional businesses and associations. He focuses on domestic and international business and contract issues, transactional matters, counseling of entrepreneurial and technology businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
Prior to joining the firm, O'Brien was the founder of a boutique business and real estate firm and before that, he spent ten years working as a business and transactional lawyer representing private and public companies in Daytona Beach and Melbourne.
When he is not practicing law, O'Brien is involved in his community. He is a founding Director of Candlelighters of Brevard, Inc., an organization which provides financial and emotional support for Brevard County families with children afflicted with cancer. He also serves on the Space Coast United Soccer Club Board of Directors and has been a contributor and presenter for the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Florida State College since 1990. O'Brien received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and his law degree from Florida State University College of Law.
