ORLANDO, FL -- Central Florida law firm Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A., has selected Cynthia Ramkellawan, a second year law student at Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law, for the firm's 2013 FAMU internship program. Ms. Ramkellawan will be exposed to a variety of law firm experiences, from legal research and writing to participating in and observing trials, hearings, closings and a variety of business meetings. Ms. Ramkellawan, who ranks second in her class at FAMU, earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from University of Central Florida, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. The firm's FAMU internship is a ten week program designed to provide FAMU students with the experience of working as an attorney in a large law firm.

"We are pleased to continue our working relationship with FAMU College of Law," said Quino Martinez, a Real Estate partner and chairman of the firm’s diversity committee. "The internship program provides opportunities for FAMU law students to learn about the legal profession and gain practical experience in a law firm working environment. This internship is one way in which our firm is helping to support this important Orlando institution."
