Florida Court Says Pregnancy Discrimination in Employment is Legal Under State Law

On July 25, 2012, Florida's Third District Court of Appeals held that Florida law does not prohibit employment discrimination on the basis of pregnancy. While the holding may seem shocking, the court's reasoning was consistent with legal precedent, although there is a split among the federal and state courts in Florida on the issue.
