Miranda F. Fitzgerald named Orlando's 2010 Environmental Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers

Fitzgerald, a highly respected Partner with Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. is named Orlando’s Environmental Lawyer of the Year for 2010 by Best Lawyers®, the oldest and most valued peer-review publication in the legal profession. Fitzgerald’s practice focuses primarily on land use and real estate development matters that routinely involve environmental issues.She holds her law degree from the Florida State University College of Law, with high honors.

"It is personally gratifying to receive this special recognition from the attorneys in the Greater Orlando Area, particularly in this challenging time for everyone whose practice touches any aspect of real estate law."
Fitzgerald is recognized for her experience in all aspects of real estate development, including obtaining entitlements, environmental permitting, wetlands and upland habitat mitigation issues, regulatory compliance and vested rights, as well as advocating changes to administrative policies and regulations. She is also a Florida Supreme Court certified Mediator who regularly assists with resolution of disputes involving environmental issues, water and sewer issues, zoning issues and property rights. She has served as lead counsel on a number of high-profile projects, including: MetroWest, Lake Nona, Ritz~Carlton and J.W. Marriott at Grande Lakes Resort, Center of Commerce at Orlando, Beltway Commerce Center, and many others. She has also been named in both 2008 and 2009 as one of the top 50 women lawyers in Florida by Super Lawyers ®, another publication whose selections are based on peer reviews.
