Representative Client Experience
- Successfully defended Orlando NBA franchise in reverse discrimination/defamation lawsuit by a former assistant coach who demanded $30 million in damages. At the conclusion of a month-long trial after 8 years of litigation, the jury returned a defense verdict.
- Successfully defended the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections in an election contest involving absentee ballots that received national attention during the 2000 Presidential election. Worked closely with the Bush-Cheney team and the Republican Party to confirm the validity of the absentee ballots.
- Successfully defended the City of Orlando in a purported class action case by firefighters claiming intentionally inadequate medical care. After the case was dismissed, obtained a fee award of over $200,000 against Plaintiffs' attorneys for filing a frivolous claim.
- Obtained a jury verdict in excess of $11 million against Orange County for failure to warn of a known dangerous intersection.The verdict for the Co-Guardians of Veronica Seneriz, who suffered severe brain and other catastrophic injuries as a result of an automobile accident, was the largest ever rendered against Orange County.
- Successfully defended commercial class action/multiple plaintiff cases involving toxic torts.
- Represent The Sharper Image as Florida counsel regarding various matters, including patent and trademark infringement cases.
- Represent significant real estate clients in substantial litigation matters.
