Representative Client Experience

Mr. Shih is a former patent examiner in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and practices in all areas of intellectual property law with an emphasis on preparing and prosecuting patent applications and counseling clients on intellectual property matters. In his patent prosecution practice, Mr. Shih has extensive experience in the Biomedical, Electrical, and Mechanical areas including medical instruments, diagnostic equipment, semiconductor devices, wireless telecommunications systems, display devices, various computer printer related technologies, optics, fiber optics, sporting equipment, digital rights management, and AV signal compression and encoding. His practice further includes prosecuting patent applications before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Shih is also involved in patent infringement and validity opinion practice and counseling.
